Yelena’s 2014 collection was her first collection, and emerged as an organic evolution from her paintings. This can be seen in the use of her symbols, which are prevalent within this collection. Inspired by her cultural heritage and her travels around the world, it is reminiscent of West African symbolism and Swedish minimal sophistication. The pieces are bold yet delicate, and are infused with meaning. Yelena has used brass and silver as her main use of metal, and has incorporated the use of leather, ebony wood, and semi previous gemstones such as Lapis Lazuli, turquoise or Opal to make each piece of jewelry unique, exclusive and stand out on its own.
